Leave It Where You Can See It!

Hi Language Buddy!

I want to share a little life hack with you to make learning a new language more seamless and enjoyable. It's all about keeping your learning materials easily accessible and integrated into your daily life.

Think about it: the easiest way to learn something is when it's right there in front of you. For instance, consider the difference between learning to play the piano versus the violin. A piano is often prominently placed in a room, making it more likely you'll feel inspired to play it. With a violin, however, it's easy to store it away and forget about it. That's why I encourage those learning the violin to leave it out in the open, where they can see it and be inspired to practice.

The same principle applies to language learning. If your instructional materials are tucked away in a drawer or on a distant bookshelf, it's less likely you'll feel motivated to use them. But if you leave them lying around in a prominent spot, you'll be reminded of your language goals every time you pass by. For example, I keep my Russian book on the living room table so I see it often and feel inspired to practice.

So, as you continue on your language learning journey, try keeping your materials easily accessible and visible. You might just find that it helps you stay motivated and engaged. Happy learning!
